Two news items in Popular Computing Weekly, 19 June 1986, of passing interest. Being “Out-Mastertroniced” by a competitor selling games at a RRP of 99p would not have bothered us at all – the profit margins would be so tiny that not only would retailers show no interest, but the publisher would lose money unless the sales were massive and even then the profits would be derisory. The other story mentions Andrew Wright who was to join Mastertronic a couple of years as Budget Games Manager.
