Mastertronic / PAL Developments Checklist

One of the strangest labels to come from Mastertronic came in 1989. After then end of the original “310 range”, the range was re-started for a short 18-title run with new numbering. The range comprised primarily of games produced by PAL Developments (later known as Palmer Acoustics and then David A Palmer Productions). Some collectors referred to this short range as the PAL Developments range because many of the games were created by this company, although a number of games were infact re-releases from other publishers.

Strangely, the packaging alternated between Mastertronic and Mastertronic Plus branding adding to the confusion of the branding. We are splitting this list up into all the separate formats covered by the label and will be adding them over time. There are gaps but we are aware of many games that were completed but never published and we will be adding details of these separately.

Notes

  • Despite the range having a number of high profile re-releases, it’s interesting to note that the biggest seller was a slot machine simulator!
  • As with all Mastertronic ranges, there are gaps where some titles were planned and never released or were only released on certain formats.
  • The 16-bit versions of the games were released as part of the 16 Blitz label.

We will be adding more to this list over time including more formats, links to reviews etc.
